CLARKSBURG, W.Va.– Clarksburg Mayor Ryan Kennedy has decided not to run for re-election in June. According to Kennedy, limiting his term is his way of leading by example.

Kennedy has served on council and as mayor for the last six years, but is interested in advancing a proposal to enact term limits for city elected officials.

Mayor Kennedy believes new faces bring the opportunity to look at problems differently and wants to promote the concept.

When his term ends in June he will devote time to his career and family.

The term limits amendment will be on the June ballot.
