CHEAT LAKE, W.Va. – The Monongalia County Sheriff’s Department is investigating a fatal shooting in the Cheat Lake area.
Deputies were dispatched to the Falling Water Lane area at around 8:30 p.m. Friday and found a woman had suffered a fatal gunshot wound. She was pronounced dead at the scene.
Monongalia County Sheriff’s Detectives are conducting the investigation.
