CLARKSBURG, W. Va.–Two major statewide organizations, The West Virginia Chamber of Commerce and the West Virginia Manufactures Association made an endorsement in what could be a tight primary for West Virginia’s new Second Congressional district.
Republican incumbents David McKinley of the current First District and Alex Mooney of the current Second District are facing off in the May primary after redistricting combines both districts into one.
David McKinley was in Clarksburg Monday to pick up the endorsements. “I’m honored to be endorsed by the chamber and the manufacturers association,” said McKinley.
The primary is Tuesday May 10th.
