WESTON, W. Va.–A Lewis County hospital seeks affiliation as a stroke center.
Mon Health Stonewall Jackson Hospital in Weston will be reviewed for designation as a stroke center.
The evaluation will be done by the national program Acute Stroke Ready. According to Mon Health the label as a stroke center for Stonewall Jackson Hospital means that the facility will be able to help individuals with stroke signs and symptoms.
The new accreditation will provide Stonewall Jackson Hospital the ability to provide a higher level of patient confidence for individuals who have to deal with a stroke.
