Some Elkins water customers may see higher bills.
According to the City of Elkins water meters are being replaced which means some customers may see higher bills. This is not because of a rate increase or faulty meters.
The City of Elkins said that certain customers’ bills were being estimated, and their actual water usage has increased.
Water meters are being replaced for all 4,400 City of Elkins water customers. The city said that about half have been replaced so far.
