MORGNATOWN, W. Va.–A second Braxton County resident has now died as a result of car crash last Thursday on Interstate 79 in Lewis County.
State police said that Ruth Ann Dean, 72, of Sutton, died at Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown.
Dean was critically injured after being ejected from the car driven by Harry Dean, 71, of Sutton Thursday afternoon.
Harry Dean died at the scene of the crash.
His car traveled from the southbound lane through the median, went airborne, before striking a UPS tractor trailer. The truck driver was not injured.
The wreck occurred Thursday afternoon during an increase of traffic heading to Morgantown for the WVU-Baylor football game.
