Marshall presidentinal candidates to tour campuses next week

HUNTINGTON, W.Va. — The Marshall University Presidential Search Committee said that candidate visits begin next week.

The search committee has named the five finalists, which include Bernard Arulanandam of the University of Texas at San Antonio; Bret Danilowicz of Florida Atlantic University; Robyn Hannigan of Clarkson University; Kathy Johnson of Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis; and former Intuit CEO Brad Smith.

One of the finalists will succeed President Jerome Gilbert, who will leave the institution next July.

Candidates will visit the Huntington and South Charleston campus. Community receptions for each person will be open to the public:

Monday, Oct. 11 – Community Receptions for Robyn Hannigan, Provost, Clarkson University

· 10-11 a.m. on the South Charleston Campus (Academic Center, Room 210)

· 5-6 p.m. on the Huntington Campus (J. Churchill Hodges Atrium, Arthur Weisberg Family Applied Engineering Complex)

Tuesday, Oct. 12 – Community Receptions for Brad D. Smith, Co-Founder, Wing 2 Wing Foundation
