FAIRMONT, W.Va. — A man faces life in prison with no chance for parole following two decisions by a Marion County jury Friday.

John Wolfe

The 12-member panel convicted John Wolfe in the September 2022 shooting death of Henry Silver.

Wolfe, who has ties to the Pagans Motorcycle Club, was found guilty of first-degree murder, conspiracy, and possession of a firearm while committing a felony.

The jury then heard testimony on whether or not Wolfe should be considered for mercy during sentencing, the panel came back with a no mercy decision.

Wolfe suspected Silver was romantically involved with his girlfriend and confronted him at the Carolina apartment complex. During the confrontation, Wolfe called another member of the Pagans, who shot Silver to death.

Wolfe was one of five people originally charged in Silver’s death.

Sentencing will be held at a later date.
