Harrison County authorities say one person is dead after taking a fall from a Clarksburg Bridge.
The victim, plunged off the Sixth Street Bridge just before 10 am Monday.
The Clarksburg Police and Fire Departments and Harrison County EMS arrived on the scene to find the victim along the banks of Elk Creek.
The victim had suffered severe inquires from the high fall. Rescue crews attempted to hoist the victim out of the ravine to safety, but the individual died at the scene of their injuries.
An investigation is underway.
