Glenville State College inaugurated its twenty-sixth president

GLENVILLE, W. Va.–Glenville State College inaugurated its twenty-sixth president, Dr. Mark A. Manchin Friday at the College’s Waco Center. The wearing of face coverings and applicable guidelines for social distancing was in in place for the event.

Several guests were as part of the official ceremony that brought bring greetings, including state and local lawmakers, on-campus representatives, leaders of other institutions of higher education, and friends.

Manchin’s official investiture was conducted by WV Higher Education Policy Commission Chancellor, Dr. Sarah Armstrong Tucker.

Manchin began serving as Glenville State College’s President on July 1, 2020. With a career in education spanning over 40 years, he came to Glenville State after serving as Superintendent of Harrison County Schools.
