ELKINS, W. Va.–The City of Elkins is working on several problems plaguing the water system.
According to the city they will install new valves and give advance warning before water outages.
The City of Elkins said that Corroded cast-iron water pipes are long past their useful life, unstable soil; and further destabilization of that soil by the excavation work for the sewer/storm water separation project are also contributing to the water problems.
