COVID outbreak at River Oaks Nursing Facility in Clarksburg has claimed one life

CLARKSBURG, W.Va. —  The COVID outbreak in the River Oaks Nursing Facility in Clarksburg has claimed one life.

Officials from the Clarksburg-Harrison Health Department confirm one resident has died and 23 others are positive, along with three staff members.

This is one of four active outbreaks on the DHHR website. At the Bridgeport Healthcare Center one staff member is recovering and another has recovered. One staff member at the Clarksburg Nursing and Rehabilitation Center has recovered.

At Meadowview Manor, two deaths have been reported, there are 10 staff members and nine residents listed as active, 41 residents and 34 staff members have recovered.

As ordered by the governor, the staff and residents will be tested two times a week.
