Berkeley County magistrate leaving

MARTINSBURG, W.Va. — Former 16th District state senator and current Berkeley County Magistrate John Unger is leaving his current post after a year.

Unger tells the Journal he’s taken a job as a faculty member at Blue Ridge Community and Technical College in Martinsburg.

Unger will be teaching in the area of mechatronics (manufacturing, engineering and technologies.

Unger will also continue serving as pastor and priest for the three churches in Harpers Ferry.
