FAIRMONT, W. Va.–Some Marion County businesses to get some cosmetic improvements.
Downtown Fairmont businesses have been awarded grants from Main Street Fairmont. Six businesses applied for the facade grants offered by the Main Street Fairmont.
The 30,000 dollars in grants will be used to make improvements to nine different buildings which are in the historic district of Fairmont.
The facade grants require a 50/50 match from the business and the total estimated cost of the improvement projects is $111,437.
When work gets under way it is expected to last for 12 months.
