HARRISON COUNTY, W.Va. — West Virginia State Police are investigating the discovery of human remains that were found in Harrison County last week.
Members of the Bridgeport Detachment and the WVSP Troop 1 Crime Scene Team executed a search warrant near a residence in the Meadowbrook community on Friday, November 3. Troopers conducted the search warrant following a lengthy criminal investigation.
Troopers utilized a K-9 trained in cadaver recovery while at the residence where the human remains were discovered. The remains have been sent to the West Virginia Office of the Chief Medical Examiner for an autopsy.
The investigation is active and ongoing. WVSP said more details will be released at a later date.
