BERKELEY SPRINGS, W.Va. — Stimulus Check Scams, Driveway Sealant Scams, Lonely Heart Scams. They’re all out there, and Morgan County Sheriff K-C Bohrer says you don’t have to fall victim.
He says call in some help if something sounds too good to be true.
“Run the scenarios by someone, a family member, a trusted friend. Get those objective set of eyes on it from someone you can trust,” he said.
Bohrer said when someone knocks on your door wanting to seal your driveway or cut your trees.
“Ask for their driver’s license. If they don’t want to give you their driver’s license or business license–you don’t want them,” he said.
