Arrests made in Morgantown drug ring

CLARKSBURG, W.Va. – Two Houston men and a Morgantown woman have been sentenced to federal prison for their roles in a multi-state drug distribution ring with ties to Monongalia County.

U.S. Attorney Bill Ihlenfeld said Leonard Jasmine, 25, has been sentenced to 10 years, and Jeffery Howard, 24, will serve 7 years in federal prison for selling cocaine, heroin, fentanyl and methamphetamine in Monongalia County from 2018 to 2020. Sabrina Burton, 24, of Morgantown, has sentenced to 3 years probation for possession of heroin.

In October of 2020, federal officials indicted 25 people from four states who were shipping drugs across country to the Morgantown area.
