WESTON, W.Va. — One man is in custody and charged in connection to the sexual assault of a patient at a Lewis County hospital.
Vernon Wiley, 36, is charged with third-degree sexual assault in connection to an incident from June 16, 2025.
Wiley is accused of assaulting a patient at William R. Sharpe, Jr. Hospital.
He is now considered a suspect in three cases, including Huntington and Oak Hill, according to State Police.
There is video surveillance of the assault. Wiley’s address is listed at the hospital.
