SUTTON, W.Va. — Police are investigating the discovery of human remains in Braxton County.
A fisherman discovered what investigators believe are likely to be human remains in the Elk River in a rural area of Braxton County called Shilo Church on Sunday.
The remains are unidentified but may belong to an adult male, according to West Virginia State Police.
The State Medical Examiner’s Office conducted the autopsy Monday.
