CLARKSBURG, W.Va. — A public hearing and vote on a rate increase approaches at a future meeting of the Clarksburg Water Board.
A proposed rate increase is being held to fund upcoming water distribution upgrades, according to WDTV.
The rate increase breaks down as follows:
- the first 15,000 gallons used per month will see an increase of $1.088 per 100 gallons or $10.88 per 1,000 gallons.
- the next 210,000 gallons used per month will see an increase of $0.73 per 100 gallons or $7.30 per 1,000 gallons.
- all over 225,000 gallons used per month will see an increase of $0.498 per 100 gallons or $4.98 per 1,000 gallons.
- Resale is $4 per 1,000 gallons.
No bill will be rendered for a lesser ammount than the monthly charges announced:
- 0.625” Meter = $32.64 per month
- 0.75″ Meter = $48.95 per month
- 1″ Meter = $81.59 per month
- 1-1.5″ Meter = $163.17 per month
- 2″ Meter = $261.08 per month
- 3″ Meter = $522.15 per month
- 4″ Meter = $815.87 per month
- 6″ Meter = $1,631.73 per month
- 8″ Meter = $2,610.77 per month
The ordinance can still be amended pending the public hearing. The meeting is set for 3 p.m. on Wednesday, September 24.
If adopted, the proposed changes go into effect November 10.
