MORGANTOWN, W.Va. — Police in Morgantown stopped a parking garage attack in progress and made two arrests over the weekend.
Saturday, police intervened when they witnessed Aden Metheny, 18, of Carmichaels, Pa., on top of an unidentified victim punching him while bystanders attempted to pull him off inside the University/Chestnut Street Parking Garage.
As police closed in, Matthew Baucum, 20, of Greensboro, Pennsylvania, approached the victim and shoved the victim back to the ground before attempting to flee.
Metheny was taken into custody while police reviewed security footage that showed him as the primary aggressor. According to the video, Baucum
hot the victim while he was on the ground.
Metheny and Baucum have been charged with malicious assault.
