CHARLESTON, W.Va. — An Upshur County man is behind bars facing charges of setting fire to a home in Barbour County earlier this month.
The West Virginia State Fire Marshal announced the arrest of Bricen Siron, 20, of Upshur County. He’s charged with first degree arson for the fire at a house in the Volga community of Barbour County on Saturday August 9th.
Investigators said the fire destroyed the home which was abandoned. They were able to determine the fire was set deliberately. Siron was developed as a suspect and investigators said he was arrested by the Barbour County Sheriff’s Department today. Authorities said during an interview he confessed to setting the fire.
Siron is lodged in the Tygart Valley Regional Jail awaiting arraignment.
