JUNIOR, W.Va. – An investigation is under way after human remains were found in Barbour County Monday.
According to the West Virginia State Police, the remains were found by personnel from Mon Power who were working on utility lines in rural area near Junior.
The remains were identified as Donald R. Hutzler, 63, of Belington, who was last seen on January 5, 2025. Troopers with the Philippi Detachment of the WVSP initiated an investigation into the disappearance on January 15.
Mr. Hutzler was known for riding a bicycle in the Belington and Junior areas in the county and suffered from cognitive disabilities.
