CHARLESTON, W.Va. — Bridgeport High School earned its first state title in boy’s basketball in 24 years following a 62-40 win over Nitro in the Class AAA Final on Saturday.
Bridgeport outrebounded Nitro 39-15 in the win. Bridgeport finished 26-1 with 23 consecutive wins — their lone loss to Nitro in the fourth game of the season.
Future Mountaineer football commit Carter Zuliani finished with 13 points and 10 rebounds along with three steals in the win.
