WESTON, W.Va. — The driver in an I-79 that seriously injured two children has been charged with child neglect resulting in serious injuries.

Troopers from the West Virginia State Police said on March 14 that Fazila Kahn, 41, of Levittown, Pa., was southbound on I-79 at the 88-mile marker in Lewis County when she lost control and crashed, causing the two juveniles to be ejected.
Troopers determined the children were in the backseat unrestrained while Kahn was wearing a seatbelt in the front seat.
Troopers said one of the juveniles and Khan were transported to Stonewall Jackson Memorial Hospital.
The other child was flown to J.W. Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown with life-threatening injuries.
Khan suffered minor injuries and is being held in the North Central Regional Jail.
