WESTON, W.Va. — Multiple buildings were damaged and power outages reported in north central West Virginia as a result of severe storms that hit Sunday.

Mon Power reported outages impacting more than 7,000 customers. There were more than 40,000 customers without service statewide.
Officials in Weston have confirmed that the storm collapsed a building that was being torn down on Main Ave. No one was reported to have been in the building when it collapsed.
Damage was also reported in Harrison and Marion counties.
