MORGANTOWN, W.Va. — Firefighters from three counties battled a fire in southern Monongalia County for about six hours Wednesday.
Firefighters were called to a report of a trailer and barn on fire at 2:44 p.m. on 4H Camp Road.
The fire spread to a nearby field and ultimately to a third structure.
The trailer and barn initially involved were a total loss.
No injuries were reported.
The cause is under investigation.
First responders from the Brookhaven Volunteer Fire Department, Cheat Lake Volunteer Fire Department, Clinton District Volunteer Fire Department, Cool Springs Volunteer Fire Department, Granville Volunteer Fire Department, River Road Volunteer Fire Department, Truine-Halleck Volunteer Fire Department, Westover Volunteer Fire Department, Boothsville Volunteer Fire Department, Barrackville Volunteer Fire Department, Bunner Ridge Volunteer Fire Department, Masontown Volunteer Fire Department and the Reedsville Volunteer Fire Department, the Monongalia County Brush Fire Team and the West Virginia Division of Forestry responded to the scene.
The scene was not cleared until about 9:15 p.m.
