BUCKHANNON, W.Va. — Acting on a tip, Upshur County Sheriff’s Deputies arrested two women over the weekend for bringing fentanyl into West Virginia.
The tip from the public was developed and deputies learned the vehicle to be used for the delivery. They set up surveillance and spotted the vehicle on U.S. Route 33 Saturday night. Deputies pursued the driver who attempted to evade law enforcement by driving behind the Wingate Hotel on Commerce Drive in Buckhannon.
Once stopped, deputies searched the vehicle and found more than 200 individual packages of suspected fentanyl.
Arrested was Rebecca Glover, 41, of Buckhannon who was charged with transporting fentanyl into West Virginia and conspiracy to deliver fentanly. Deputies also arrested Kelly Harvey, 40, of Buckhannon who is charged with possession with intent to deliver fentanyl and conspiracy to deliver fentanyl.
Both women are in the Tygarts Valley Regional Jail.
