CLARKSBURG, W.Va. — The Harrison County Board of Education has released details on their investigation into a recent cyber attack on their computer network.
In a post on social media, officials said it is likely that the information of some current, and past employees was likely compromised. The BOE acknowledges the importance in determining the extent of the attack and what information was compromised during the January cybersecurity incident.
The post said the employees will receive notification in the coming days and they will be offered credit monitoring and identity protection services.
Officials said if any personal information from was compromised they plan to contact them directly.
Residents with concerns are asked to call.
