MORGANTOWN, W.Va. — West Virginia University Police have issued a Campus Warning following burglary and larceny reports on and near the downtown campus.
In two incidents — one at Morgan House, 660 North High St., and one at Phi Kappa Tau, 692 North High St. — the suspect entered through unlocked windows. At least one other off-campus incident is also under investigation.
The Morgan House burglary was reported Tuesday morning by employees.
The Phi Kappa Tau incident was discovered when officers were responding to a report of a suspicious person in the area early Tuesday.
“Our officers immediately increased patrols in this area which will continue throughout the fall break,” Chief Sherry St. Clair said. “With so many members of the University community away from campus, there may be additional cases that have not yet been reported. We urge everyone to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activity as soon as possible.”
If you have any information about criminal activity call UPD at 304-293-3136 or if you see a crime in progress call 911.
