MORGANTOWN, W.Va. — Former WVU Football Defensive Coordinator Jordan Lesley was booked early Saturday morning on a misdemeanor domestic battery charge.
Lesley, who was fired by WVU football coach Neal Brown during the Mountaineers most recent off week, was taken to the North Central Regional Jail.
The charge on the jail’s website is listed as Domestic Battery-1, further details were not immediately available.
Lesley, 42, has yet to be arraigned by a Monongalia County magistrate.
Lesley was let go by Brown on Oct. 29 in connection with an underperforming defense.
“I met with Coach Lesley this morning and informed him that we are making a change at the defensive coordinator’s position,” Brown said.
Saturday’s game against Cincinnati marks the first contest with Jeff Koonz as defensive coordinator.
