MORGANTOWN, W.Va. — Police are looking for suspects responsible for the attack of a man in downtown Morgantown late last week.
The man, whose name has not been released, was attacked while sitting in a doorway on Walnut Street at about 4:20 a.m. Friday.
Police said the attack was unprovoked.
Police said two male suspects attacked the victim, one with a blunt object resembling a baseball bat and the second suspect stabbed the victim multiple times in the back. After the attack, the suspects fled toward Spruce Street where they were last seen running south.
Monongalia Emergency Medical Service treated the victim at the scene before transporting him to Ruby Memorial Hospital. The condition of the victim has not been released.
