MORGANTOWN, W.Va. — West Virginia University Police issued a campus warning for a domestic violence incident that occurred in the University Place parking garage located on University Avenue.
The incident earlier this week did not involve university employees or students.
On Tuesday, officers arrived within minutes of the call and found the victim and suspect had fled the area separately.
Officers were able to interview witnesses at the scene and gained access to surveillance that led them to identify a suspect.
An arrest warrant for domestic violence has been issued for Saquan Tyquil Moore, and police are actively searching for him.
Moore is not a WVU student or employee and, effective immediately, has been banned from WVU property.
Information about this incident or Saquan Tyquil Moore can be left by calling 304-293-COPS (2677).
“I want to publicly thank the individuals who immediately reported this incident,” Chief Sherry St. Clair said. “We tell the WVU community that if they see something to say something and this is a direct result of that.”
