KINGWOOD, W.Va. –– Preston High School and Preston County Schools Central were on “hold” today because of a social media threat.
Superintendent Brad Martin said authorities are working with law enforcement to investigate.
On “hold” means all doors are locked with students and personnel inside and no outdoor activities. Martin said the “hold” condition allows classes to continue while the investigation continues.
In Marion County, a threat on Fairmont Senior High School is under investigation.
Parents in Marion County with questions are asked to call 304-367-2100.
These are among multiple counties across West Virginia that have been disrupted by threats originating on social media in recent days.
