Former President and current Republican nominee for President Donald Trump is recovering following a shooting at a rally in Butler, Pennsylvania that claimed one rally-goers life, injured another, and injured Trump.
Law enforcement identified Thomas Matthew Crooks, 20, of Bethel Park as the shooter. He died on a nearby roof following a counterstrike by the U.S. Secret Service and local law enforcement.
Trump suffered an injury to his right ear.
NBC News is reporting the motive is not clear at this time. Additionally, law enforcement is still determining if Crooks had any accomplices.
A motive has not been determined at this time.
West Virginia officials issued a number of statements in support of Trump and denouncing political violence Saturday.
