CHARLESTON, W.Va. — The state Fire Marshal’s Office is reporting a fatal fire and an arrest in a separate arson case.

Investigators said a 72-year-old man was killed in a house fire in Tyler County Tuesday. The blaze occurred in the community of Alma at around 2 p.m.

The cause of the blaze appears accidental, investigators said.

In a separate case, the Fire Marshal’s Office said Randolph Scott Murray, 52, of Lost Creek, was arrested earlier this month for allegedly setting fire to a gazebo he was renting.

Murray is charged with second degree arson.
