MORGANTOWN, W.Va. — A Monongalia County jury has found a man guilty of sexual abuse charges.
There were a conviction following a two-day trial trial this week in Monongalia County Circuit Court in the case of Steven Ray Desantis.
A 12-member jury found him guilty of sexual abuse by a parent, guardian, custodian, or person in a position of trust and first-degree sexual abuse.
Monongalia County Prosecuting Attorney Gabe Mucciola said Desantis faces up to 45 years in prison at sentencing.
The case was investigated by the Morgantown City Police Department with assistance from police in Granville.
A sentencing hearing has not been set.
Desantis is being held in the North Central Regional Jail until sentencing.
