CLARKSBURG, W.Va. — Police said an 89-year-old woman died after being struck by a vehicle near the entrance of the Clarksburg Kroger on Emily Drive.
Clarksburg Police Chief Mark Kiddy said the victim was walking near the store’s north side entrance at around 1:50 p.m. Sunday when she was struck by a 2013 GMC Sierra pickup truck.
Kiddy said the driver was a 39-year-old man from Clarksburg.
The information from the investigation will be turned over to the Harrison County Prosecutor’s Office, Kiddy said.
